1. Scope

Fibly is an unincorporated service operated by an individual in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. This operator is responsible for the Extension's privacy practices.

This policy applies specifically to the Fibly Focus Lock Chrome extension (the "Extension"). The Extension has one purpose: to block websites selected by the user while a Fibly Focus Lock session is active.

The separate Fibly web application is covered by the Fibly Privacy Policy.

2. Information the Extension Handles

The Extension receives the minimum Focus Lock state needed from an open Fibly page and stores it locally in Chrome. This state may include:

Whether a Focus Lock session is active and when it expires.
An opaque session identifier.
User-provided blocked and allowed website domain or path patterns.
The Fibly return URL and temporary Chrome tab or window identifiers.
Which user-selected sites have or still need Chrome host permission.

Chrome evaluates top-level navigation against the active blocking rules on the user's device. The Extension does not create or retain a browsing-history log, read page contents, collect keystrokes, read cookies, or access passwords or authentication tokens.

For Chrome Web Store disclosure purposes, the only website-related content stored by the Extension is the blocked and allowed website address patterns that the user explicitly configures in Fibly.

3. How Information Is Used

The locally stored Focus Lock state is used only to:

Create and remove browser rules for the user's blocked and allowed sites.
Show which selected sites require Chrome permission before they can be blocked.
Display the current Focus Lock status and return the user to Fibly.
Automatically stop enforcing rules when the session ends, expires, or is disabled.

The Extension does not use this information for advertising, profiling, analytics, creditworthiness, lending, or any purpose unrelated to website blocking during a Focus Lock session.

4. Storage, Transmission, and Sharing

Extension state is stored only in Chrome's local extension storage on the user's device.
The Extension does not send extension data to Fibly servers or any third-party service.
The Extension contains no analytics, advertising SDKs, tracking tools, or remotely hosted code.
We do not sell, rent, share, or transfer Extension user data to third parties.

Communication between the Fibly website and the Extension occurs locally within the browser and is accepted only from Fibly's approved website origins.

5. Permission Use

declarativeNetRequest: creates temporary rules that redirect matching top-level website requests to the Extension's local block page.
scripting: reconnects the packaged Fibly bridge in an already-open Fibly tab after the Extension is installed, updated, or restarted.
storage: keeps the current Focus Lock state and permission status locally so blocking remains consistent while the session is active.
Host access: runs the bridge only on Fibly's website. Access to a user-selected blocked or allowed site is optional and requested from Chrome only when that site is configured.

6. Retention and User Control

The Extension keeps only the current local Focus Lock state. Active blocking rules are removed when Focus Lock is disabled or the session is no longer valid. Users can revoke individual site access in Chrome's extension settings. Removing the Extension deletes its local extension storage under Chrome's normal uninstall behavior.

7. Chrome Web Store Limited Use

The Extension's use and transfer of information received from Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Information is used only to provide or improve the Extension's single purpose. It is not used for personalized advertising, transferred for unrelated purposes, or made available for humans to read except when required by law, necessary for security, or specifically requested by the user for support.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when the Extension's functionality or data practices change. The current version and its effective date will remain available on this page.
